Anamanaguchi – MEOW
Hello. Here is something I am very proud to present to you. I directed / storyboarded / animated the pixel animation section in this rad new music video for New York based band Anamanaguchi. It’s for their new single ‘Meow’. The animated section kicks in around 2:22. My good Internet buddy and collaborator on other Goldfish videos Carl Douglas did a bunch of the animation work, noteably the most amazing transformation scene at the end of the section where the Cat Head turns into Finn, Greg Fiering, Parappa the Rapper and a host of other awesome characters. And he used some neat 3D reference for one or two of the other scenes. Great Job! If ‘Great Job!’ reminds you of the Tim & Eric Awesome Show, that is good, because some Tim & Eric Editors worked on this video. I also had 4 others doing pixel bits for the video, namely Генрик МаÑальÑкий, Ameen Ganie, Francisco Cifuentes and Ievgen Khomenko. Also, the creator of 4Chan appears right at the end of the video. All this goodness and so much more packed into this music video. It’s 8bit / chiptune music, and I do enjoy me some nostalgic 8bit stuff man.
